When your baby starts to really see you

Did you know when your baby is first born, he or she can only see 8 to 10 inches in front of them? And even then, the images they see are not very clear.

It isn’t until 2-3 months that your baby will really start to see you. And by this I mean:

  • Recognize your face
  • Smile when you’re around
  • Her eyes light up when she sees you
  • Makes sounds with her mouth in response to seeing or hearing you

It’s such an exciting shift to see in your baby during this time. Especially after surviving those first couple of months with a newborn. Those sleepless nights can be even more tiring when you feel like you and your baby aren’t able to connect. I promise you: Your baby is listening and watching you every single day! Keep talking to and engaging with her and pretty soon she will start “talking “ back☺️
