Is it safe to eat an entire apple?

Generally, yes! And thank goodness because apples are one of Elson’s favorite snacks and this kid eats almost the WHOLE thing. He pulls out the seeds, but he eats the stem!

Some concerns people have with eating all parts of an apple:

  • Commercialized apple skin contains harsh chemicals. Soak your apples in a baking soda bath before consumption to help remove some of that waxy layer.
  • Apple seeds can be toxic if too many are consumed in one sitting. So try not to eat 20 apples in a row!
