How to remove a coffee stain from carpet

Listen, it happens. One minute you’re sipping on a deliciously warm cup of coffee and the next it’s soaking into your beautiful carpet. Lukas, one of my German Shepherds, recently created a beautiful distraction where I jumped up abruptly to check on him, effectively knocking over my morning cup of Joe.

The not-so-funny part of all of this is we just had new carpet installed in our bedroom about a month ago. Of course, this is the carpet I am currently spilling coffee on in this instance. So, I was more motivated than ever to find a solution.

Here’s what worked for me: equal parts liquid soap and white vinegar with warm water. Put that solution in a bowl, stir it up, and blot that stain with a towel. The sooner you are able to address it, the better.

It was as simple as that… And now my carpet is back being shiny and new. Now, while I hope you never find yourself in a position where you have to actually use this solution… If you do, you’ll have to let me know if it worked for you, too! Any other solutions that have worked for you on tough coffee stains?
